dryer barrell full of lint?

how do i keep this from happening? i clean it after every load

See if you can remove the covering where the lint filter goes in.

If you can you will be able to put your hand or arm in and remove a lot of escaped lint. It may be going back into your dryer.

You should do this every year. It is a fire hazard.

It sounds as if you have several problems. IN addition to the other listed suggestions which suggest that your dryer's exhaust is blocked which is likely to pose a fire hazard, if you are consistently having that much lint and it is a problem to you, suggests that you might consider upgrading the quality of fabrics of your clothing and household textiles.

This particularly applies to cottons where the poorer grades have shorter fibers which in woven or knitted fabrics, shed a great deal more than the longer finer grades of cotton fibers which tend to stay part of the fabric longer due to thier longer length.

This is a major factor in most laundry lint, and fabric wear.

A high priced garment is not necessarily of high quality fibers not is a lower priced garment necessarily made of poorer grade fibers. It is good to get to know your fiber quality. In the long run it can help you get more value from your clothing and textile purchases.

did your entire shirt come unraveled? how did you get the entire BARREL full of lint?

for the door and the hose out, take the hose from your vaccuum and clean it out.

In addition to cleaning the filter, make sure the vent pipe is also clear. Sometimes clogs can sneak in there.
