how do i fix an automatic truck closer on a cadillac?

the hood catch will not pull the truck down

Ok I'm sure you mean trunk and not truck! Just get some wd40 and spray it. Or you can try some better product like pb blast it work's wonders!

replace the broken switch on the actuator and check the one on the trunk lid. those also break.
