Sims deluxe is "The Sims", not "The Sims 2" so there is no "try for baby" and the love bed has nothing to do with having a baby. The best way is to hug and kiss multiple times until one sims says "do you want to have a baby?" Click "Yes" and a baby carriage will appear. Also, sometimes you will get a random phone call that asks if you would like to adopt. Again, click "yes" and a baby carriage will appear.

Deluxe edition........Check to see if the game includes the love bed. If it is included in the game, there should be an option to try for baby. If not, just have them make out and keep doing so until a baby appears.

make them fall in love with kisses gifts ect.
have them both relax on a bed
Lets say Joe is the sim ur controlling - clik Jill and select try for baby or play in bed
thats how u do it in sims 2 n e way. hope i helped.

You have to call and adapte them on the phone.
