Isolationism and theocracy have nothing to do with one another. The history of isolationism here in the U.S. has never been rooted in religion. Read about episodes of it.
Isolationism and xenophobia can be argued to be linked, but again, look at specific episodes in our history and evaluate each one.
Remember, it was George Washington, in his farewell address, who warned against "foreign entanglements". Washington was a noted deist - essentially agnostic in today's terms; as to whether he was xenophobic, that would be an interesting question to examine.
p.s. NOTE to Sunshine: Maybe you should read a book. It's quite ridiculous that you allow yourself to be made to feel inferior because somebody posted an intelligent question. It's people like you who make it hard for the rest of us to get anything done in this country.
You think you know irony? You must think Alanis Morrisette was actually saying something.

I don't believe isolationism is a side effect remember Jihads, and the Crusades, I suppose whether theocracy leads to mass xenophobia depends to the most part upon what the theocrats believe.

it can be and it can. it needn't be, and it needn't, however. different cases differ. a theocracy can desire to assimilate other locations and cultures into its own location (ie, take it over) and culture, and isolationism can cause people to be xenophilic, as they romanticise cultures and peoples they're cut off from and/or forbidden to know of/interact with. the lessons of history are sometimes confusingly contradictory... and i've generally found them boring (well, not the lessons, themselves - no pun intended - but the history, excepting the bloody bits).

Indubitably.
Actually theocracy may tend to incorporate other societies. The mass xeonphobia could be fear or even hatred mixed with pity. The pitiable should be taken over and brought to the real light (or killed).
