any body can screw up,,but if they have installed a few of these there shouldn't be any kind of a problem with it,,and besides they guarantee there work,,all of them have to now days,,and i don't think it,,will effect your warranty either, sometimes adding things on,,can affect the warranty,,but i don't think this will,,just relax,,and trust them,,if they mess it up,,they,ll have to repair it,,and they know it,,so i don't think you,ll have a problem there,,i own a repair shop,,in Tennessee, and we do install these all the time..and have never had any problems from any of them,,good luck with it,,i hope this help,s.

Hey Friend,
I love remote starters, and always have had them. Always will. For a host of reasons. For safety and convenience they cannot be beat. When my fiance drives my truck, she hits the remote start, and the lights turn on, the car starts, and it can give the impression that she is not alone, she can also light up a dark Garage to see what's going on around her.
I like an Air Conditioned truck, when it's 105 in the shade here!!
My remote starts have given me years of service with no problems, and they are a cool toy to show off to friends.
My advice to you is simple:
1) D@mn best buy. Don't let a 12 year old with no common sense install your remote. Their prices are far too high. their customer service sux, and their stock is below par.
2) Invest in the best. Buy a Viper (any grade you want) Auto Alarm with remote start. It will be installed by a pro, with a warranty you can't beat, all for a very good price.
Trust me on the viper! You will not be disappointed!
Best of luck!

Take it to a private shop best buy is OK but they only use people who can pass the MECP cert test kids with little or no exp AKA "Butchers" a private shop will have installers they trained in house and they are not chain company they rely on the installers doing it right.
Former Installer.

I think you should have thought about that BEFORE YOU BOUGHT IT! The people at Best Buy install thousands of these things every day. Trust them to do a fine job.
