When you learn how the world works under this constant globilization, you will see that that possibility - while logical - is ridiculous since the educated members of society are going to end up suffering the uneducated.

The uneducated are ultimately going to end up being angry, resentful adults - especially when they are forced to adapt to an economy that has sent all the good jobs to Asia - and they will mostly end up as criminals, as law enforcement or as stragglers.

Prisons are built based on 2nd grade test scores- based on that info, they estimate the number of cells the will need to build. There are more people in prison now than school.

You are thinking using an elitist model. If you can afford to move out to the suburbs and hide in a gated community, NO PROBLEM - but ultimately, you or your family will be either robbed, raped or killed by one of the downtrodden whom the education system failed.

Education is better, IF WE ALL HAVE EQUAL ACCESS TO IT.

There would be less competition, and a college degree would mean what is used to, but if a large percentage of the population did it, society would spend more to support entitlement programs. The divide between rich and poor would increase. I think a better alternative is trying to ensure that those who graduate know what they're supposed to know. I went to a selective admissions college that was teaching students how to write papers. If you've gotten into a selective admissions school, you should already know that, especially if it's Division 3.

Nice. "I want you to have to work at McDonalds all your life so I can get into Harvard a little easier." So the person who could have developed a cure for cancer is working at McDonalds because high school was rough, while somebody who barely passed med school is operating on you, because there was a little less competition...
