The USPS money order you will get is going to be fake.

There is no "payment processing" and nothing to be "approved", you just walk in and buy a money order and thats it.

This is a scam. The english is stilted in the e-mail ... I would bet anything it is a Nigerian scammer. Don't do it.

One thing that has not been covered above that I think you ought to know... your bank can, *AND WILL* reverse the credits to your account if it is later found that the Money Order was fraudulent. Usually this occurs within 10-15 days of the original deposit.

The problem is that you will have a very difficult time not mailing out the goods in that time period. If this transaction seems fishy, have him directly deposit funds via paypal into your account, or use an escrow service.

It pays to be suspicious now days... there is WAY too much fraud in online person-to-person transactions these days! I can't believe that more isn't being done to resolve it.

Well now, what the hell does the US Postal Service have to do with "approving" any payment?? This makes absolutely no sense at all. If he goes to the post office he buys a money order and sends it to you, and that's it. All he needs is your address to send the money order. There is no "payment processing" throught the post office, all he is doing is buying a money order, so all this sounds highly suspicious. Have him send you the money order, go to your local post office and see if you can cash it in (it is possible for a purchaser to stop payment on a PSPS money order). This business with the money order sounds totally bogus to me.

If you do get a US postal money order, go straight to the nearest post office to verify that it is not counterfeit. Do not send out anything until you have real US cash in your fist. This sounds like a VERY shady deal to me.

I think it's a scam. I have worked in the investigation of these things and I can see it in the poor grammer. If you go through with this, take the money orders to the post office and have them inspected before cashing them. I would be especially concerned if the money orders arrive in an envelope with British or Nigerian postage.

Just wait till you get the money order to send whatever it is.

He has an account with FedEx, and all you have to do is give them that account number, and they will ship it, free to you.

sounds clean, just make sure you get his money (and that it's really money) first.

He wants to use USPS for sending the money order since it would cost him more to send the money order via Fedex.

No problem using his Fedex account.

Wait for the payment and then do it just like you would an eBay transaction. Its up to you and your good faith to deliver the item to him/her. Wait for the money order to come.
