A very good video (I've used it in classes a number of times) is called "The Tradition of Performing Arts in Japan", produced by Japanese government cultural services--with a good explanation and much good video of the three major forms of Japanese theatre: Noh, Kabuki and Bunraku. You can buy it ($39--VHS only) at the link below. Definitely recommended from personal experience.
