Hi....I am a native Michigander who moved to Minnesota in 1989. I was born in Garden City (Detroit), grew up in Jackson. Lived in the Upper Peninsula for quite a few years around Marquette. Lived in Milan by Ann Arbor, and lived near Monroe MI also. I really miss it. If I could move back anywhere though, I would choose Marquette. It is scenic, almost San Francisco like with the hills and water. It is a nice small size city and a college town. It gets pounded with snow every winter but that only adds to the beauty!
