for seat belts in the buses, grown men have to buckle up by law, but little children don't have to, and don't even have the opportunity to do so, that's a disgrace.

this is NOT an issue of money, we are talking about a couple dollars, they have millions to spend on field trips, computers, highly paid teachers, yet not 2 bucks or les per student for a seat belt... you dont' have to raise property taxes for something like that.

smudgeward... there are not 60 million kids in your school disctrict... please!!! and you could say the same arguement for wearing seatbelt in a car, you could drown wearing a seatbelt in a car, there is no excuse for not having kids buckle up

parents don't pay the 2 dollars (or less) because they are not given that option.

That is a good question. Even as a child I had wondered about that. I have been in about five crashes in school bus that I was riding in. Never been in a crash in a regular car. They need to fix that soon. When my children start going to school, they will either be home schooled or taken to school by me. Buses are unsafe. I have always thought that.

That's a local school board issue. They are 100% in control over that. Attend a local meeting and ask the question. My bet is they will tell you that it is because local voters voted down the last property tax increase so they don't have the budget. We tried getting them in our town but the budget got rejected by voters. We finally ran a bunch of fund raisers and got them. In this case you have only your neighbors to blame, not Washington.

Yeah...and how come is it that only the wheelchair passengers on public buses get to wear seat belts and not the rest of us paying customers! It's an outrage! I see anarchy approaching!

Kids tend to bounce and the first school bus to burn or be submerged w. 50 kids strapped in would give pause for thought.
It's 2 dollars times something like 60 million, you give it to them if it's only a little.

through fact they have been infants and that they had their entire lives earlier to them. The shooting became thoroughly unecessary. and that i understand human beings die on a daily basis, yet it rather is not a organic thank you to die, it fairly is in simple terms incorrect. no one merits to die like that, and asserting human beings have it worse is ridiculous, through fact there is often somebody, someplace who has it worse, and it fairly is all terrible
