Where can I find those things that say "on this day in 19.." like for birthdays or such?

Do you mean the little booklets that are for certain years? I've seen those at Hallmark Stores. Not sure if that's what you're looking for.

Wikepedia.com...when you type in a search just search for the certain day...example...if you want july 12 put july 12
