Come on these are all easy!

1a) 1/8 + 5/8 (same denominator so just add numerators) 6/8, then simplify to 3/4.
1b) 3/4 - 1/2 (change to common denominator of 4)
3/4 - 2/4 = 1/4
1c) 4/5 * 3/10 (just multiply numerators and denominators) 12/50, then simplify to 6/25
1d) 7/8 divide 1/2 (invert the second and multiply) 7/8 * 2/1 = 14/8 = 7/4. As a mixed fraction 1 3/4.

2a) 2/5 = 4/10 = 0.4 (change the base to be a power of 10)
2b) 5/8 = 625/1000 = 0.625
2c) 1/3 = 0.3333333333.... (long division)
2d) 1/6 = 0.1666666666.... (ditto, or calculator)

3a) 0.25 = 25/100 = 1/4
3b) 0.375 = 375/1000 = 3/8
3c) 0.51 = 51/100
3d) 0.6666... = 2/3 (just memorize this, or put the repeating part over 9s. 0.6... = 6/9 = 2/3, 0.2727... = 27/99 = 3/11, for example.)

4a) Just substitute boys:girls 12:10 = 6:5
4b) 10:12 = 5:6
4c) 10:22 = 5:11
4d) 12:22 = 6:11

... I'm tired, you do the rest. I won't be there for the test, so try and pay attention in class and learn the concepts!

5) Just cross multiply
6) Negatives always smaller than positive. Two negatives, the smaller is the one that is "more negative". Positives are obvious.
7) Absolute value of a negative is the positive. Absolute value of positives, no change.

oh, my, gosh.

you've got to be, in, like, fourth grade. oh well, "help the less fortunate".

1/8 + 5/8 = 6/8 = 3/4

3/4 - 1/2 = 3/4 - 2/4 = 1/4

4/5*3/10 = 12/50 = 6/25

7/8 divided by 1/2 = 7/8 * 2 = 14/8 = 7/4

2/5 = .4

5/8 = .625

1/3 = .3333333333333333.....

1/6 = .166666666666666666.........

0.25 = 1/4 (obviously, because 25 is one fourth of 100. quarter, dollar, get it?)

0.375 = 375/1000 = 75/200 = 15/40 = 3/8

0.51 = 51/100

0.66666666... = 6/9 = 2/3

boys: girls = 10:12 = 5:6

girls:boys = 12:10 = 6:5

boys:students = 10:22 = 5:11

girls:students = 12:22 = 6:11

x/5 = 16/20 ; cross-multiply ; 20x = 80 ; x = 4

9/x = 12/21 ; 12x = 189 ; x = 15.75, or 15 and 3/4, or 63/4

3/4 = x/30 ; 4x = 90 ; x = 90/4, or 22.5, or 22 and 1/2

5/2 = 4/x ; 5x = 8 ; x = 8/5 ; 1.6, or 1 and 3/5

-4 >-8 ; use the number line

6 > -6

-1.5 > -1.9

3.08 < 3.17

nevermind you must be in third or second grade

|-5| = 5
|-7| = 7
|3| = 3
|9.9| = 9.9

absolute value, or |x|, just means the distance from zero to whatever number is given on the number line

I really shouldn't have done that, but oh well, we'll see how you do in the future....

and you'd better trust me b'cuz i'm a trigonometry student. ha, you probably don't even know what trigonometry is.

yeh do ur own hmwk
but will do the easy onez i can be bothered with..

write the fraction as a decimal
2/5 =0.4
5/8=0.625
1/3=0.33
1/6=0.167

write the deicimal as a fraction in simplest form
1/4
3/8
51/100
333/500 ???

ratio:
boys: girls= 5:6
girls : boys= 6:5
boys:students: 5:11
girls students=6:11
(just divided it by two to get the simpler version)

solve the problem
x/5 =16/20 just go 16/20 times 5 to get x which in this case is four

and for 9/x=12/21 just go 9/(12/21) to get x which is 15.75

just use this principle to figure the other two which have similar processes

im gonna go do my own hmwk now goodluck with the rest...

Dont ask for my work as i didnt feel like writting out step by step 24 problems.
Also i realize its your homework and if i show you the steps, you cant do it yourself. I know you wont do this but work backwards from the answers i gave you...oh well its a hope of mine.

Sorry but I'm not doing anyone's homework for them. You will never learn it if you don't do it yourself... then next thing you know you'll be on Welfare and living in a garbage heap, and the best job wage you would get is minimum wage (which is NOT enough to live off, by the way)!!!!

my homecoming is next week.....i got my dress in Pennsylvania...i dont know how far away that is from you, but the store is AMAZING. Its the biggest off price fashion store in america. When you get a dress they will register it so no one from your school will have it, pretty cool! I hope this helped, and good luck, have fun at your homecoming!
