My boyfriend is mexican and his friend's little sister is turning the big 1-5. I've never been to one and I don't want to stick out anymore than I already will.
Is a dress appropriate? Maybe dress pants and a nice top? My boyfriend is wearing jeans with a nice button-down shirt, jacket, and hat. What should I wear?

it's the spanish version of a sweet sixteen, and it can be as formal or as casual as any party, wear whatever you will feel most comfortable with. Although, from what your boyfriend is wearing, I'd go with the dress pants and the nice top.

It is a formal occasion so you should dress formally. Go to a wedding dress shop. there will be plenty of bridesmaids dresses you can pick from. Some shops even discount the dresses. Please don't let your boyfriend wear jeans. He can find a nice pair of black pants at freaking Wal-mart.

a NICE dress like a wedding dress as guest but not 2 dressy like a prom dress is fine or maybe dressy black pants and a short slevve black top just plain I've had experiencs when i was 7.

Depends some can get pretty dressy. Find an outfit and ask his mom or check with some other women in the family to see how dressed up they are getting.

ask your bf how dressy this occasion is. if it's the really dressy kind you can wear a nice fancy dress. like a cocktail dress? or something maybe longer. if it's semi-formal, wear a skirt and ncie top. or you can still wear a dress. like a sundress with a shrug over it?

My instructor says that girls frequently placed on a cute gown and heels, yet no longer something that's revealing. same things that you would wear to a wedding are usually good. dont be to overly dressed up though. ... allthough if ur bf is only wearing jeans it might be more of a casual quinceanera.
