its not unusual to have light spotting the first couple months. If it gets heavy or a steady flow, or pain and cramping go to the ER. Other then that calm down and do as the ER said. I know thats hard to do, but I seriously think that unless it gets worse you are having a normal pregnancy. Fix a big bowl of popcorn and a large glass of something to drink and lay down and have a movie night and relax. Will do you good.

I am currently 19 weeks pregnant. When I was about 8 weeks I too had some spotting. I talked to the Dr. and they said it was most likely nothing. If the bleeding is brownish and you are not cramping you should be alright. However if the bleeding becomes bright red with clots you may want to either go to the ER, or it may be a miscarriage that you have no control over. My bleeding was light for about a week, and here I am at 19 weeks. So, if you are feeling ok without clotting you should be fine. Just sit tight over the weekend and relax.
I hope all goes ok for you. And remember, if it does end in a miscarriage, at least you know that you can get pregnant. That is after all, the hardest part! (I too had a missed miscarriage a year ago). Relax.

Is the blood pink, bright red, orange, or brown? I am 26 weeks pregnant now with our third baby and with this pregnancy I had spotting (light pinkish/tan) that worried me. It was never in my undies, but when I would wipe it would end up on the tp. I ended up having an ultra sound and everything was fine. I would say that if you are having no other symptoms try to rest and put a call in to your OB/GYN or midwife. If the bleeding increases and or you start cramping you might consider going to the ER. Hope all is well with you and the baby.

I am going through my third pregnancy right now, I am five months along but have been through this very same situation twice. This will be my first child that I have been able to carry to term, because I have had two miscarriages before hand, (they were natural miscarriages, no drugs/alcohol or anything like that involved) The first miscarriage started out just the way you are describing it (please, dont get alarmed, EVERYONE is different in their bodily functions). please seek immediate attention. call a cab if you have to and go to the hospital if it makes you feel better to be checked out. Unfortunatley, if you are under your first trimester, they really cannot do much for you but try an ultrasound via using a cathedor to fill your bladder because the baby is so small, to detect stress that is, in the fetus, take blood sample to see your HCG count or iron count....i know its scary, and im sorry there isnt much more I can say, but monitor this closely and please, please go to the doctor if it gets bad.Do not call, just GO! If it is light bleeding, many women have that during their pregnancies...some even have their periods throughout their entire pregnancy, this is normal.since you are not experiencing cramps, that is a GOOD sign. if the blood becomes bright red, heavier, clots, cramps begin....that is a bad sign. Please just take care of yourself, rest, put your feet up, no stress...that could create a bigger problem or create one that isnt even there...i know it will be hard, but do what is best for you and your baby. good luck!

I had the same thing and I freaked out. I went to the doctor and it didn't turn out to be anything. Bleeding in the first trimester is common and can be caused by a number of things--implantation (when the egg attaches itself to to your uterus), sex, etc. There is a lot of bloodflow going on down there so anything can cause spotting. But just in case, get it checked out so that your doctor is aware that you are spotting which I think they classify as a "threatened miscarriage" whatever the cause is. But please don't panic and get freaked out like I did, because that did not help anyone! Good luck!

Hopefully it is just spotting. I'd take it easy for awhile, no heavy lifting, no stressing out... and mention it at your next doctor's appointment...
If you notice more bleeding maybe you should call someone...
Your danger signs are:
1. Severe and persistant headaches
2. Visual disturbances
3. Several abdominal pain
4. Swelling in the hands and face
5. Severe nausea and vomiting
6. Burning with urination
7. Fever
8. Watery vaginal discharge
9. Bleeding from vagina
