Not really.

I think many of us will always remember it in our own special way...and do what we think is best.
I don't think it is good to get paid to get off work or get to play around and have picnics because of an attack on our country.

Maybe a better, simpler idea would be a chance for people to stop for a few minutes around noon...to meditate and pray for our country and for those who suffered the loss, and the people who helped in any way they could.

And fly as many U.S. flags as possible that day.

I agree with you.

But they never made a rememberance holiday for the attack on Pearl Harbor and they probably won't make one for 9/11.

I think that it should be a day of rememberance but not necessaraly a holiday. If it was a holiday then ppl would be celebrating and partying and im not sure thats the way we should honor the ppl that were killed on that day.

A rememberance holiday, yes. A day when school and work is canceled, no.

I think that's a nice idea but people end up not remembering or honoring whomever the day is for. How many people think about Dr. King and what a wonderful human being he was on King Day? How many people actually concider Verterans on Veteran's Day? How many people honor their deceased loved ones on Memorial Day? From what I can tell, not a whole lot. An extra day off to do whatever their selfish selves can do, they do instead.

Yeah sure, enough time has passed now for you to use it as a legitimate reason to earn over-time pay to cover the cost of your flight to your next holiday destination.
I'm sure the families of all the people who died wouldn't want them to have died in vain...
