Depends on your age. I'm 32 and was diagnosed with GAD. i changed my whole life. Stopped drinking alcohol and caffeine. I exercise like crazy. I eat healthy and I take medication. Now I hear medication can be very hit or miss with teens so be careful. Best of luck to you sweetie. Just get help because nobody has to live like this and it's curable!

Sleeping tablets have a calming effect when taken in small doses but you'll likely start struggling in school if you do this. Your best bet would be to go to the docs and get propranolol or something similar. Search youtube for anxiety meditation, it may also help.

if the symptoms are severly impairing your life, like thinking of suicide, failure at school, eating disorder. talk to a doctor or counselor. if you cant talk to your parents, try planned parenthood or a crisis pregnancy center. it know that may sound weird but they may be able to point you in the right direction. if you dont think things are that severe, you can try some natural remedies. i take a product call serine comples. its loaded with B vitamins, they give energy and help enhance mood. if there is a pharmacy with a wellness center or a health food store, they may be able to reccommend something. or call Cardenal pharmacy at 765-529-5808 and ask for donna phipps. she is like an herbal master!

Sometimes when we look up stuff - especially in the mental realm - it will reseamble us - I once thought I had bipolar and went to get help only to find out my "swings" are directly correlated to when I am going through something and have the tools in which to deal with it effectively. You must at least find out what you have for sure and then go from there. Nothing can be done until you know for sure of what you do have.

I have read some litterature about panic attacks. But they allways seem to have a more scientific approach and that is nothing I need in my struggle to survive those horrible panic attacks. This is a "hand on" and very practical book. I felt it was written to me. I am sure that you are going to feel the same.

Joe Barry writes exactly how I think. The examples are perfectly described. And the method is genius. I recommend this book and thanks Joe Barry for writing it. It changes your life

Sounds like something Zoloft may be useful in treating but I would check with a Doctor first. They will keep things confidential.
Better if you can avoid medicine, you may just be a normal teen going thru a rough patch.

You are not alone. When I was a teen I had some similar problems, a very chaotic life. But now I have a great life and my anxiety and depressive symptoms are returning! It's a life long struggle for me. I hope you feel better.

You need to talk to someone about this. So, you decide who is best to confide in. You know how you feel and it is nothing to be ashamed of at all. Getting the proper help with prove more beneficial to you and your family in the long run, than to ignore it or live in agony. You only live once.

make up an excuse to see your regular doc and tell him what you think and that your parents will be skeptical. he'll know what to do. think it best not to self medicate, some of these drugs are dangerous and can make things worse if you are incorrect.
