No but after 1,000 to 3,000 dollars in parts you might want to kill some one! Every thing in the fuel system might need replacing. Example; drain fuel tank and wash out with hot water and dry. replace in tank fuel pump, replace fuel filter, replace 4 to 8, cyls, of fuel injectors replace fuel pressure regulator. Flush all the fuel lines with hot soapy water and blow out with air to dry. Sugar really gums up old car carburators and those cars can suffer engine dammage. Fuel injectors spray nozzels are so small sugar will out pass thru for very long at all car quits running check engine light too!.

It will, if they put enough sugar in the tank, and let it cook, when the car/truck is running. Thus making it crystalize, and then your screwed.

It will damage the fuel system however the crystals are too big to go thru most gas filters in most cars. It does nothing to the engine.
