It all depends who your gods are. For me, you'll have to ask Zidane, Beckham, Schumacher, Alain Prost, Enzo Ferrari and a few more. I'll have to locate all of them, that won't be an easy task. And Mr. Ferrari is not available any longer, what a legacy he left us though.

Isn't God meant to be forgiving? Even if that was true, the fixing scandals aren't as bad as some other horrible deeds in the first place.

Never.GOD is indeed forgiving.. but he has a limit.Italy has done a big sin.So he cannot forgive them.So the Italy soccer players and officials will spent their days in hell and regreting what they had done and enviously watching the French soccer team and officials in heaven!
