Sounds like Braxton Hicks to me, there is nothing you can do but wait it out. One of the joys of being pregnant. Mention it to your Doctor next time you go.

I had fake contractions all througout 3 pregancies. The trick I guess is to drink plenty of water. When I was due and thought I was in labor that's what the doctor said to do. If it didn't stop the contractions, than it was the real thing. It's annoying, but your body is just strengthening the muscles to get ready to deliver.
As far as the back pain goes, I would check what kind of exercises you can do. Sometimes there is nothing that will help it. Good luck and congrats!

First call your doctor's office or the OB department where you are going to deliver.
What they might tell you is that if you can "walk them off" and the contractions stop, they are "practice" contractions that get your body ready for the real thing. If they do not go away with walking around, and are at time-able intervals, you need to go in because it may be premature labor.
DO NOT PANIC! IF IT IS PREMATURE LABOR, THEY STILL MAY BE ABLE TO STOP IT, SO YOUR BABY CAN STAY INSIDE A FEW WEEKS LONGER.
Good luck, and much love for you and baby.

Are you sure they are contractions? I thought so too with both of mine and it always turned out to be something different. But, it's always a good idea to call your doctor. Don't worry about " bothering" them. That's why they're on call, to answer your questions. Good luck!

Speak with your doctor as soon as you can, even just call and let them know what's going on and ask if they think you should come in.
Otherwise, just take it easy and don't do any strenous movements or be in heat.
