Women don't know. They are highly insecure creatures, so they always think everyone cheats on them. Eventually they are right, so they never let anyone forget about it. And despite what they say, they will never forgive you either.
Just know that when it comes to cheating, if you do it enough, eventually you will get caught. So, before you cheat, you need to decide if it's worth losing what you have. Because that is what will happen.

Wow.. you are asking a question that could take up several pages...Will attempt to narrow them down into 5 categories.. which are:
He's acting distant. If he's calling less frequently or has cancelled on plans repeatedly, he may be trying to pull away from you--because he's getting close to someone else.
You can't get in touch with him. If you try to call your boyfriend and no one--not even his family or best friends--can get a hold of him, you've got to ask yourself where's he hiding out and why?
He's suddenly insensitive, like he totally forgets plans and then shrugs it off. He may not be considering your feelings because he's thinking about another girl's.
His interests--or looks--have changed. If he's developed a new taste in music or clothes, it may be to impress another girl--or because of her influence.
He's stopped inviting you to join him in his favorite activities or at his usual hangouts. If you're not going with him, who is?

If you are a female, the fact that you are asking the question means that there is not trust in the relationship, independent if he is cheating or not. If you are a male, I hope that the one you are cheating with is cheating with the entire town...and of course, there is AIDS to deal with.

The same way you know when someone is lying.. everyone has a tell.. and when you live with someone or are with someone for a long time you know them inside out.. even a mild change is noticeable. We are experts at behavioral changes no matter how subtle..that is how women care for their young and know when they are not well or content, etc...

1. Catch him in lies.
2. He acts guilty.
3. He is disinterested in sex.
4. Find things like lipstick, ladies underwear, etc.
So I take it you are planning on cheating. If you don't love your wife or girlfriend, why don't you be honest and break it off, then chase other women.

What goes around comes around. I wouldn't tell you so that you could "perfect your style" and break some poor girls heart or worse give her some kind of std.

There would be change in his behaviour. He will make a show of extra attention. Some of his actions would be unexplainable. He would be making a conscious effort to explain his actions. There would be mischief in his eyes.

My intutition told me he was. I also knew my ex b/f was cheating because he wasn't as affectionate anymore and got really distant. But why would you want to cheat on your g/f? Jeez, talk about sleezy.

There is a very simple test.
Check to see if your man is breathing. If he is, he's probably cheating.
