You better give me "best answer" for this tip.. Hehe. :)

World of Warcraft. A nerdy game, but the largest, shiniest, most advanced and expensive game there is,controls more of the mmorpg genre than all other mmorpgs put together (only barely though). Sorry I can't provide the site that shows the pie chart.

Pie?

Anyway, forget the pie..nobody mentioned pie. Heh,pie is a funny word,is that spelt right?

Right,anyway!.. Believe it or not,WoW has an account on myspace.com,which advertises the game and provide free trials for the game. Limitless trials. You can get there through either the WoW old news section,or by searching for the account on my space.

So,the final piece of the puzzle:
The public test realms are open about half of the time, and provide max lvl characters with high quality equipment, and allows trial-users to play. They're there to test new content,by the way.

Note the lvl 1-60 game is diffrent to the "end game"that are on the PTRs,and the PTRs aren't always open, but when it is open it is probably more enjoyable than the actual game.

So,there you go,avoid the 50$ box charge and 15$/month fee to play a well funded game. =D
