Here's what happened: my girlfriend's sister, who is younger than us (she's in high school, we're in college) was fooling around with her ouiji board. I had never used one before, so we all gave it a try. I don't believe in that stuff, but the board spelled out 'you [my girlfriend] should give your heart to someone else'. I noticed that my girlfriend's sister was pretty well leading the whole process, and her eyes would jump to the next letter before it started to move.

I always thought we got on good, but I don't understand why she would spell that out. I don't know how to act around her. If it was deliberate (it was), should I be pissed? Upset? Weirded out?

Please, this isn't about whether or not ouiji boards are evil or whether they actually channel spirits, or whether they cause trouble and should be avoided. That's not the issue.

You should be a little upset because it seems orchestrated. How does your girlfriend feel about this? Talk to her about it.

Thankfully you recognized the "orchestration" inherent in the whole thing. How you handle or refuse to handle the manipulative attempts of a school girl are entirely your affair...it's so ridiculous it's almost cute. But steer clear of that Ouija board stuff. NO good will come of that, whether you believe in it or not.

Steer clear of the Ouiji. Trust me, it's just asking for trouble. My friends and I used to play around with it years ago and very strange things started happening. We ended up burning it.

Don't think too much about it. I played tons of time with a Ouija board when I was a kid and it actually told me zillions of things that never happened (I'd be dead by now, for example, if all that was said by it was true). It is just a game. Enjoy it and take all that it says to you with ten million grains of salt :-)

BTW, did you know that Ouija means Yes, yes (Oui = Yes in French; Ja = Yes in German)

Stay away from Ouiji's. Forget what your GF's sister did. Just stay away from that kind of stuff.

here's what you do -- you
grab her by her neck, throw her on the wall
Say, "***** don't ever disrespect me never not at all"
These simple words can put a pause to half of the applause
