because if it is older or oxidized kind of like how some guacomole will turn brown when exposed to air, it may turn brown. this is completely normal, mine is brown sometimes too.

brown blood is an indication of old blood...brighter redder blood is newer blood...if your period blood is brown this is something that maybe should be checked out
