She was an American social worker, sociologist, philosopher and reformer. She was also the first American woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize, and a founder of the U.S. Settlement House Movement.

I think Jane Addams was big player in women's rights. She started the Hull house home for women and I think she fought for the right to use birth control.
