Any other really good questions?

The real truth is yes, Bush will protect Republican control of Congress at any cost. If Bush were concerned about the public he would bring home the troops and protect America before Iraq. We have 30 million illegals who just walked into this country. Only God knows how many may be terrorist from Al Quaeda. We also are far short on any means of defending America if invaded. Talk about having your pants down. We get 200,000 containers per day from China and most are not checked, we don't have the troops to check them.

Not just Bush, it is ALL of them. What have the Democrats done to solve any of the nations problems? Nothing because they are no better. What we need is a president who is a slave to nobody, including political parties. Many politicians have seeked sponsorship from the political parties, or in many cases, corporations thereby becoming a slave to that sponsor. If a candidate gets money from a drug company to run for office, do you really think he would vote on a bill that would reduce the costs of drugs? Hell no. Most politicians are the same. They have the parties goals in mind and not the people who support them. What they have forgotten is that they work for US and they need to desperately be reminded of that.

nobody knows the answer to that, probably not even him

but, you could make a case that protecting his politcal party's prospects is the best way of defending america

if you really believed that the principles and policies endorsed by your party provide a much better defence than alternative parties, then you would believe that the best way to protect america is to be sure that your party prevails politically

remember, president bush, or the senators, or whoever are no different than you

if you were president, how would you be thinking, what would you be doing

this is not very different from how this president or any president thinks

the difference is that each of us start out with basic premises, things we believe are true, principles that tell us what will work and what won't

we use these beliefs to interpret information and decide how to act

so does the president, so does everyone who is sane

Yes that is his first responsibility.

As for defending America That is not on his list of obligations. The oath of office is "I swear to protect and preserve the Constitution" So help me God.

Eight words with a "So help me " clause.

Go big Red Go

If anybody even dares say that "Bush has done a good job at protecting us" remember 9/11 happened on Bush's watch. And his daddy and Reagan armed, trained Bin Laden, Iran, and gave weapons to Saddam.

After this his family decided to invest into a business with the Bin Ladens (Carlyle Group). Lets take a look at his approval ratings shall we. http://www.pollingreport.com/BushJob.htm

And guess what? Conservatives say he sold out America and he will be responsible for the next terrorist attack. Read what the Neo-Cons are saying http://prisonplanet.com/articles/august2006/290806bushresponsible.htm

He could care less about his politcal parties prospects. The fact is he has given more away in entitlements than any other President in the history of the US. He is looking out for me and my children. He is protecting our nation from Islamic Fascists that are worse than Hitler. I can only hope our next President, a Democrat, can do as much as GWB has to keep us safe.

Bush is only interested in money and power. The Macaca in the White House has a low IQ but a big ego. The rest of the world including our fighting men and women and innocent people the world over can go to hell for all he cares....don't get me started!

That's easy! Defending America... Whether you agree with him or not he is acting in what he believes is in the best interest of the country. I don't want someone in that position making decisions based on opinion polls.

Seems protecting americans is proving to be a larger chore than one would imagine...no matter what GW does, the dems jump all over it and prevent it becoming a success... should we have another attack, guess who has to bear the responsibility for it... not GW.. he has attempted to cover all the bases but runs into walls which are continually thrown up by the dems.
