A DVD is 4.7gb a cd is 700mb so you need to shrink the dvd but then it will only still fit on a dvd so if it is a movie dvd you take all the movie content from the dvd and convert it to mpeg2 you can then split the file into segments to burn on several cds not very economical though but if it is a data dvd you cannot dodvd video use dvd shrink 3.2.17 will shrink dvd to fit on to a dvd will then autoburn you an exact copy of the original download at http://www.afterdawn.com/softwaredownloads/dvdtools have a look its all free
