I'm sorry to say this but what planet did you drop in from ALF? two plane motion devices or cars.The number of gears in the automatic transmission does not make for more than three control devices, Steering Wheel turns to angle front wheels and change direction #1 Throttle plate control lets air into the atmospheric engine right pedal #2 And Friction pedal that forces fibrous pads onto spinning rotors and fiber shoes into spinning drums to slow momentum.#3
Alf we also have cars with manual transmissions that need the drive to be released so gear change with a handle can occur.They have four human imput devices. Clutch pedal engine release device added to above.
