Often you cannot call them. The El Paso office charges about a dollar a minute to get any information from you and rarely writes back on emails. Same for many other states. You need to research their web site carefully. And if you want good help get a professional well trusted and recognized by immigration to help you with paperwork it is worth the money to pay to have someone do it right as there are not any refunds and it may be kicked back if done improperly. Also they respect and trust those whom they recommend on their web sites not that they are worth a hill of beans sometimes.
So check with people who have used reputable legal services and lawyers because there are many people who take the money and do nothing for you.
Start at the USCIS web site and they often have references to their respected or less expensive lawyers. Find someone who knows the immigration laws not out just to make money regardless to help you one that has a good reference background. We have one in Jacksonville who is excellent reasonably priced but not inexpensive who is respected by immigration and knows her stuff. Her stuff is usually accepted because she does it right and well if you can have the visas etc.

Here in Florida we have so many they stopped coming to pick them up unless it is something someone makes a major stink about and has some pull in the system. Which is what I did after being hit by a woman here working illegally on a student visa from Yugoslavia who was not in school who had another wreck less than 3 months earlier who had caused that person 3 thousand in damages who shook her body all over so the police officer faulted my husband after asking her where she got her new car. She said an old man gave it to me. And when I told everyone else they said I bet she did. Prostitution is a deportable offense requiring a waiver of a pardon to come back. She never was checked for HIV prior to coming here and she is more suspect of it than many coming here being required medical exams. Oh by the way a man who has been trying forever to get his spouse legal who came to visit he met and she stayed past her visa time was approached by someone who said they can get her a ride back into the US for 400 dollars in a boarder crossing van with a Boarder crossing guard of the US no problem. I see all that money just helped secure the border big time. A friend of mine said his roomate just had ten relatives come illegally this year across the frontier of Mexico the border and the border crossing guard just waved them in walking across the border. I see we need to send more tax dollars down there to secure the border aye? Instead of Canada where the terrorists have been known to cross constantly where it is wide open totally.
