Sure, y'can.

Step one: make sure your site's name is in the Site Name of the page.

Step two: use meta tags

What? You don't know what meta tags are?

They live in the part of your page and they exist for the web crawlers to find and categorize your page.
Using the meta tag you can insert "keywords" which you hope will match up when people search for a topic. Typically they are two word combinations.

So ... here's the code to put on your page

Are you talking about adding to the search bar at the top of their browser, or are you talking about being found in the search engines?

If you want to be found in the search engines then you need some incoming links from webpages that are already listed, and then the spider and bots will find you, and you will be listed.

Even getting listed here in Yahoo Answers, or in forum that are spidered will get you listed. It just takes time.

Example of getting an incoming link: http://www.selfstartersweeklytips.com (One of my favorite sites)

There is no easy method of doing that with google. However on yahoo, you can suggest a site for inclusion in their search engine.
