Also, if you have read this book, what was your favorite chapter and why?

I've read the book, but it's been so long ago, I cannot tell you my favorite chapter.

I like the book for several reasons:

1) I think Terry McMillan tells the story of sibling rivalry very well
2) No one character comes out as the "best one"
3) Her stories are realistic as well, no easy solutions to life's problems.

I liked it because of the sibling rivalry story lines. I come from a big family. We all thought my parents picked another sibling as the favorite. Now, it's a bit funny. It wasn't when we were growing up.

My parents tried to be fair to everyone. So, it appeared on different occasions that someone else was the favorite. I have brother who was always in some kind of trouble. He NEVER thought he was the favorite. (he was probably right).

I hope I gave you a decent answer to your question.
