I use windex. just spray on the floor and wipe up using a cloth attached to a swiffer or similiar. doesn't leave streaks.

It depends on the finish. Most floor finishes though you can just dry mop or use a lightly damp cloth, unless it needs a serious cleaning. If it is old as in 50 years ago it is probably a varnish. If it is fairly new it could be a polyurethane, velspar finish. Depending on the finish, water will possibly turn it a yellowish milky color. Do a test in a corner first with what ever you use.

Plain old H2o Warm w/ Lil White vinegar, (3/4 full bucket of h20 & 1/4 cup Ving.) Using a yarn-mop, Best! cuz you can squeeze out most water from it / sponges hold more water causing floor to damage in time!

also,

Swifter Floor Cleaner But use a micro-dusting cloth % of there white sheets! this way you use the solution above, ring out cloth , place it on the swifter and wet/dry mop away

use a non-amonia cleaner. Something mild. you don't want to get the floor soaking wet, just damp enough to remove the dirt and thats all. don't leave it wet if you get it too wet. dry it up right away. also when you have spills, wipe them up right away.
The main thing with laminate is not to let moisture get between the outside layer and the inside layers. The result is comparable to when you get a book soaked. Ever seen a phonebook that's been left out in the rain? not pretty.

You could check with a company that sells that type of floor and get them to tell you how to clean and care for your floor. I just love wood-look or real wood. They make beautiful floors.
