What kind of job are you talking about? A man probably has a better chance because there is more of them but if it's one of those jobs that hire based on statistics then a woman will definitely get a spot. I still like to believe you'll get hired based on your experience and not your physical appearance!

Do I have to take The Equal Opportunity Act into account? If so, the white guy will never get hired.

probablily of two men
probability of two women
probability of 1 man and one woman

Preparation:

The total number of ways to chose 2 people out of 8 is
8*7/2! = 28

The total number of ways to chose 2 men out of 6 men is
6*5/2! = 15

The total number of ways to chose 2 women out of two women is 2*1/2! = 1

The total number of ways to chose 1 man out of 6 and 1 woman out of two is 6*2 = 12

Let x = # of men chosen
y = # of women chosen

P(x=2,y=0) = 15/28
P(x=1,y=1) = 6*2/28 = 12/28
P(x=0,y=2) = 1*1/28 = 1/28
Note total is equal to 1 so this should be correct.
