About two years ago, I applied for a marriage license with someone who I thought I was going to marry but never did. I can not find this license and believe it expired. Now I am ready to tie the knot with someone else and just want to make sure that I don't need to do any additional paperwork.

You can apply for all the marriage licenses you want. Til you get one signed at the ceremony and is filed with the dept of records, youre single and unattached as far as the law is concerned. Good luck on your pending marriage
