How much money is too much to save in paypal?

I'm asking because I like the 5.04% interest rate. But I don't know if I trust them too much. Would you put $10,000 in paypal?

Paypal is safe if you know how to use it.

Please read the Paypal user agreement which is readily available on their website.

If you use PayPal to purchase anything please make sure you have no money in your PayPal account and chose the option "Credit Card funded". If for some reason the transaction turns sour and you do not receive the goods you can file a PayPal complaint within 45 days. You must file before the 45 days are up or you have no recourse with them.

If they deny your claim you can always call the number on the back of the credit card, dispute the transaction and you will receive your money back even if PayPal denied your initial claim. This is your legal right as a consumer. Contact your credit card and find out how long they give you to do this. It varies from card to card.

Please see below the link to the updated PayPal user agreement.

My boss purchased an $800 puppy (some weird breed) and paypal DID NOT hold the money in escrow until the dog was delivered. They transferred funds immediately. The lady selling the dog said, sorry, I sold it to someone else, yet refused a refund. Paypal would not refund the money.

I'd say it is happy horse poopee.
