Many people take their senses for granted. We can hear, smell, taste, see, touch, etc. but it is easy to take that for granted.
For me, the answer is difficult-how do you compare the sound of a baby's laugh, or a babbling brook, the ocean, --- what is your answer?

the most beautiful sound i ever heard was the sound of my childrens laughter echoing through out the house. or the words I love you coming from my husbands lips, not only is it beautiful to hear but it makes a world of difference in your life, makes your life worth living, our senses are very important to us in more ways then anyone could ever imagine.... without them we would be lost, ithey help you to learn to appreciate life and all the beauty in the world

I'm with Serena T above...I remember traveling in Germany about Christmas time...a wonderful time to visit Germany by the way...stopped at an Inn, parked and went in. The people inside we singing and it was warm and nice to come in from the snow. Later when we got to our room I had to go back to the car. There was one overhead light by the car and it was snowing slightly and it was so quiet you could hear the flakes. I will admit the visual added to the experience. That was ten years ago and I can still bring those sights and sounds into my head with the vividness of the moment.

No, not the sound of your child's laughter as many people here have said, but the first sound you ever heard from your first child - their first cry after being born. That's a moment that can't be equaled by anything.

The sound my mind makes when I look at a sunset or at the stars. A sort of calming peaceful whoosh that gives the feeling of vastness.

I love the sound of a strong wind through trees and the sound of snow, which I guess isn't sound but the muting of sound. A velvety quietness.

when its raining and thundering outside at night, and its pitch black and late but im still wide awake. im laying on my mans chest and i can hear his heart beat and his breath. and then he says "i love you". then we sit there for a while and out of the blue he leans down and kisses me on the forehead. then says it again. that is the most beautiful sound i have ever heard. well the sad thing is that i have never heard it. i am waiting for that perfect sound. yours may be different but that is mine.
