This appeared in yesteday's New York Times. What do you think is the driving force behind the cigarettes manufacturers decision to increase the addictive component of tobacco in the most popular brands of cigarettes smoked by youth?

As you no doubt know, it is to ensure the continual demand for their product. Although I do not know the statistic for those over 20 years old that are quiting, I guarantee the cigarette manufacturers do. And in response, are securing their future profits by increasing the degree of dependence on their product.
