Betsy wasn't haunting herself there was a ghost who was haunting betsy in a way that made betty think she was haunting herself but betty wasn't really betty anyway she was stacy, it was a great twist, i got it 5 mins into the movie though.

im not a hundred per cent sure because i saw it when t first came out n cant quite remember it but isnt it supposed to be her innocence or something? her father 'killed' her innocence and on order for it to 'rest in peace' it needs to be avenged. emotions are a powerful thing and the loss, anger, ashamedness, took over, the abuse was haunting her. them all.
