my grandma has been getting on to me about being to nice. today she got onto me for giving a guy 5 dollars for helping me get my medicine. then he realized my wallet was in his car and brought me my wallet. for his nice deed i gave him 5 more dollars. it too a while for him to receive it but I one. I now this sounds crazy to you but I have two points. first that 10 dollars would have ended up in snack machines ever widening my fat but. I'd rather give money away than do that my other point is that I only take out the money I intend to spend. if I get it I have a plan for it and intend to use it. that way I spend money on only stuff I need or want. not stupid stuff. the other thing she gets on to me about is giving away change. I hate change under quarters. just hate it. I now they say a hundred pennies equals a dollar but you try to spend a hundred pennies. If i want to save money I leave it in the bank. I digress.

Well, there is such a thing as being too nice, though I don't think you necessarily went overboard here. I see nothing wrong with giving him $5 for taking you to get your medicine. As far as bringing your wallet back, a sincere thank you would have sufficed, but $5 wasn't really too much considering he'd saved you the hassle of replacing the things in your wallet.

Just be very careful because I feel like you COULD be too nice on occasion. A genuine 'thank you' can mean as much as cash. Also, be careful when you DO decide to give someone money, that people around you aren't watching to see how much you're carrying. People get robbed all the time, because the wrong person gets a glimpse into their wallet.

Being 'outstanding' would not ought to intend being boring. actually you are able to communicate about more effective than basically 'how are you' without dropping your niceness? 'examine any good books at present?' 'Been to the flicks this week?' 'Making some thing particular for your husband's birthday?' - those are good 'newbie element' communique starters. pass on from them to issues that extremely activity and excite you. Expressing an opinion would not make you no longer 'outstanding'.

I think your grandmother is just worried that people will use you and walk all over you if you're too nice and believe me, there are some people who will. You do have to learn how to say no sometimes. That was one of the hardest lessons I had to learn.
