Looks like you've met our old pet, Buddy. LOL We went through 2 couches in 3 weeks! Now we have fish with a timed feeder. Much better now. :)

I swear that dog is a relative of my very first dog Rebel, he was left for 35 minuets one day, when I got back he had chewed the sofa, ripped the curtains down, chewed the carpet, the cushions and had even started on the coffee table, he was totally mental, he got upstairs the day after while I was hanging washing out and he chewed the duvet and cover, clothes that were in a pile waiting to be ironed and anything else he could get his teeth on, he ended going to a friend of ours farm to live and loved the outdoors till he died aged 10, he was just a total mad dog who had an obsession with chewing.

I have 3 big dogs, a potbelly pig, 8 horses, and still I do leave them alone, up to 5 hours, I live with my dogs not for my dogs, I do leave them with a toy or a bone or something to have fun with. And I would never go on Holiday and bring them to a kennel... I just feel that specially dogs are best left at their trusted environment, when the boss is gone. I teach my puppy s to be alone as soon I can. They don't mind being alone!

Omigod that is hilarious!

We left our snakes alone for 3 days- fed 'em the night before we left. When we got home the corn snake was not in her "room". We found her in between some boxes. We thought maybe she was looking for us. Then she got out that night and my daughter found her curled up on the shelf below her tank. She wasn't trying to get away, just out for a snakey stroll. Needless to say, there's tape on the lid now.

If it had been the python, she'd be long gone.

Yes.

All the time.

We work, though I work nights and the little lady works days.

Sadly sometimes it doesn't quite work out and the cats are on their own for a while.

We would rather die than leave any animal alone without at the very least food and water.
