1) Free up some space- or get Xubuntu, that's a better Operating Sustem for low-end computers than Windows (www.xubuntu.com)
2) Possibly a faulty card, If the card is new, exchange it, If that dosent work, try in in another PCI port on your laptop.
3) Yes.

no antivirus or spyware remover helps just go into c:/ drive and delete everyting exept forDocuments and Settings Program files and the Windows file
then check doc and settings to delet any wierd things then go into program files and delete everything exept for adobe ur driver soft ware and the microsoft ofice things if u have and the acesories and everything in iexplorer then go back into the Windows file and search for everything in the temporary files then delete everything then go into the startup programs and empty it then u can go into system 32 and delete everything suspicious or anything obvious like anything similar to wat u deleted int the program files then ur computer is mostly done with a visual check unless u have multiple drives
2 the conection u can just use the eternet and dont do the dial up at the same time cuz sometimes it just stops

#1- if it is old, your probably stuck here.
#2- the pc card may have a sleep mode on it. You could check the properties in the network setup (or it could be broken).
#3- If you put in the suitcase, it should be ok as long as you check it but I would put some things around it to protect it. The bang the luggage pretty good.
I noticed somebody say spyware. You could run house call to check for virus and other ailments.

could be spyware. .
to find out, do the following:
go to the following website, register (create a username and password), login and go to "Forums" (upper left),
and then on the forums page scroll down to "Security". . click on that forum. .
and then in Security, click on "Post New Thread" (either upper right or upper left), and then post a message (you're basically creating a new thread on a forum), and describe your problem.
Someone will be along shortly to help you, and it's free and the people at this site are experts on getting rid of garbage off of your PC (some do nothing else). .
http://www.techguy.org
(if it's the middle of the night when you go there, you might have to wait a few minutes (like a half hour) if you go at the wrong time, cause they are down for about a half hour in the middle of the night to back up their servers, but it's well worth it to go there and have them instruct you.
If anyone can get rid of it, they can.

1) Try to uninstall programs that might be running in the background, programs you don't need. Also, adware might be slowing down your computer. Press: CTRL + ALT + DELETE, to open the task manager, and close programs that you're not using.
2) Perhaps it's connected to an unstable connection? Not to sure on this one, sorry.
3) Certainly, why not.

That laptop is so old I can't even find any spec's on it, which is very unusual. I'd suggest replacing the card and upgrading the memory. And using adaware to get rid of any spyware.
