Is there any way to play DDR without buying a playstation or going out in public to find it? I am looking to lose weight, and I heard this is a fun way to do it.

I was just looking up the mario one for gamecube, but I noticed it is a little different from the original. For the most par that's okay, but does it have you doing continous moves like the original one, or are you just basically playing a video game with your feet?

Nope. You'll have to buy it. Unless you have a friend who will give you their playstation for free. Plus, you have to buy a DDR mat, but I'm sure you'll be able to find a good deal online. I have played the game in arcades, and have it at home. It is fun, and is definitely a great cardio workout. Also, there's a work out mode, and it keeps track of calories for you. I'd say, invest some $$ to get the game and a playstation, it's cheaper than a monthly gym payment, and a lot more fun. Especially if you don't want to go out it public to play in an arcade, at home's the only way to go. Good Luck!!

do you have an XboX?if you do you can buy DDR 1,2,3,and i think they came out with the 4th one.or buy Exceed Pump it Up for about $50 with the dance pad.the only thing is.Exceed is 5 arrows.4 corners and the middle.DDR is the 4 sides thats it.

Ni, you need to have a playstation and the special dance pad, but there are lots of other dance for weightloss DVDs out there that just need a DVD player and TV.

If you think it's a good way to loose weight, I don't think people will make fun of you. My BBF, has it, and she is normal. It is a game just to have fun. People don't buy it to loose weight. Yes, you do need a play station.

They had it on the old SegaDreamcast system, maybe you could find one for cheap on ebay or Yahoo auctions. System and Game should be available on there.
