I have tried every kind of cough suppressant and drops with no relief. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm miserable!!!

If you have a persistent cough for more than 24 hours you probably have an infection in your lungs. You will probably need a prescription antibiotic and maybe some prednezone for inflammation. This can be caused by a bad cold that turns into an infection, or it could be pneumonia or bronchitis. So, like everyone else will say, you need to go to the hospital and get an exam.

Try a halls in your cheek at night. Humidify your environment. If you have green or yellow in your hack then some kind of medication is in order. There is this thing called cancer of the esophagus. Have a look down your throat, are there white bumps. GURD can cause it. Odly enough the food intollerance to wheat gluten can cause that. Look up celiac disease see if you have the other symptoms. Most likely an alergy pin point it and remove it

I am a medicine student and have a 15 question test in one of my books that will be able to help me find a remedy so u can get rid of that cough. I always recommend natural remedies they work a lot better than regular medicine. I will need a little more detailed information about your cough.

I ALWAYS turn down the aisle with the hacking cougher that refuses to cover their mouth. They make a point in waiting til I am walking directly in front of them and then HACK HACK COUGH! Last week I was in Marshall's and this little girl saw me coming and sneezed right on me as I passed. I said "Thanks! I really wanted your germs!" and the mother got mad! I told her that her daughter was WAY old enough to know how to cover her mouth. (The kid was like 9 or 10!)

i had that few years ago was in hospital for my son i was coughing so bad then my mum caught it to it was just a dry cough ..must be from the air con it lasted like 2 months or so and i went to the doctor and they gave a cough medicene it went away

Hey I had the same thing..went see all the doctors ....couldnt find anything....but then i went and see a sppech pathologist....she help me 100%...now its all gone...the cure are a few things...like drinking at least 2 litres of water a day....and doing some simple exercise..for the voice box muscles...Plus there is a gargle..she prescribe for me.

Why haven't you seen a Dr? You could have a bronchial infection or something even more serious. Don't neglect your health. The longer you wait, the worse it will get.

Go to the doctor!! They have things that are stronger than what you can buy over the counter, and can make sure it's not something serious.
