No. Sherlock Holmes was created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but he did create him based on a real person, one of his professors named John Bell. Bell Had a talent for observation which he used in hopes of learning more about his patients and perhaps treating them more efficiently.He looked for tattoos and listen for accents.Sir Arthur also made Sherlock Holmes to look like John Bell.

Hi! From my opinion, Sherlock Holmes was just a fictional character. I never thought of he becoming a real person.

He was and is fictional although Sir Arthur Conan Doyle who created him, based him on one of his teachers from Medical School in Scotland - Dr Joseph Bell.

No, but it could be about someone who was alomst as good. Like they just wanted it to be about a real person but in charcter.
