I'm not sure how long these ones are but they are really easy reads at that grade level (I have taught all of these books to grade 11 students so most are classics)

Of Mice and Men - John Steinbeck
Flowers for Algernon- Daniel Keyes
Lord of the Flies - William Golding
And Then There Were None - Agatha Cristie

Good luck!

1984, A Separate Peace, Watership Down, and A Yellow Raft in Blue Water are all good. A Separate Peace is an easy read, it can just be boring at times because it gets really descriptive. Good luck!

A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L'Engle - classic science fiction.

Maiden Voyage by Tania Aebi - true story of a young woman who sailed around the world by herself.

Sorcery and Cecelia by Patricia C. Wrede and Carolyn Stevermer - nice humorous fantasy.

I love Stuart Woods books, especially those with Stone Barrington in them, like Two Dollar Bill and The Short Forever. He's a ex cop turned lawyer who gets himself in trouble with women and solves crimes.

I also enjoy Diane Mott Davidson's books, like Tough Cookie and Chopping Spree. They are about a caterer in Colorado who solves murders.

You might like TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD by Harper Lee or THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK. Both are written in simple language and are very straightforward.
