Okay. Main character witnesses an immoral act done by the criminal, maybe a rape or murder or robbery. Then the criminal wants what the hero has- information.

Main character betrays the criminal- breaks a promise or lies to protect the one he loves. The criminal finds out the truth and wants what the hero has- his loved one.

Main character has something the criminal wants, and tries to aquire what the criminal wants for the criminal, but fails and is punished by the criminal in retribution.

hope I helped!

The hero is a teenage boy who accidently picks up the only copy of a formula while visiting his grandfather who is a famous scientist. Right after he leaves the lab, agents under the pay of an unknown government, break in and kill the poor old man. They then start chasing the boy to get the formula. As he runs from them, he meets a series of characters. A taxi driver believes him and comes along to help. A young Goth girl who is a runaway joins them and together the three of them try to make it from Princeton, NJ, to Stanfrod in California where they can get the help of the grandfather's closest friend, Dr. Hugo Rennzman. Will he make it? Will the brave little trio get all the way across America and save the world?! That's for you to write. PS...the formula could be a new chemical that would dissolve oil in water, making potential clean ups a snap in the oceans, so it would be worth a bundle.

If you can't do this on your own, give up writing. Writers are clever, creative, and they turn inward for inspiration. And with your poor spelling, well, you need a lot of English grammar lessons before you even think about writing a novel.

I don't mean the rude. But if you can't think of a plot yourself maybe writing isn't for you.
