How can one define normal when everyone is different?!!
Just to put your mind at ease, you should maybe mention it to your gyno the next time you go for a check up.
For me, I have an on again-off again type of period, so yeah, 3 days of bleeding, one day stop & 3-8 hours of bleeding is the norm for ME. However, I usually only get cramps the first couple of days of my period.
This may be perfectly normal for you, but just because everyone doesn't experience it doesn't mean it isn't ok. Like I said, check with your gyno next time you're in.

I have that problem every now and then. I was told by my ob/gyn that its normal. If the cramps are very bad you could talk to the doc about getting put on the pill. It makes them all but disappear.

Talk to your gyn about it. If it is normal for you, your gyn should have suggestions on how to manage it. If it is not normal then there should be a treatment for it.
