Yes you can love your friends, including members of the opposite sex, without having a romantic attraction to them.

Yes. I love my H, but I am not in love with him. Being in love means you think of that person all the time. You want to be with that person all the time. And you are happy when you are with that person. Loving someone means you care for that person but you don't feel the need to be with that person all the time, or think of that person all the time. When you've been married for awhile like me, you'll understand the difference.

It is completely possible. There are several people (not including family) who I love and deeply care for, and would literaly die for them, but I am not in love with them.

Love and being in love are two very different things. I am not arrogant enough to believe that I can discribe what each is, but when you are in love you know it.

Absolutely. In fact, most marriages that are successful are exactly that. The feeling of love is a temporary and fickle thing, and it cannot exist forever. True love is categorized as a deep desire for the other person to have the best, and your willingness to go out of the way to give everything and anything to the other. The feeling of love is dominated by a desire to make yourself pleased (you make me feel, You are so ..... to me, I need you, I want you, etc.)

My answer is yes you can love someone and not be in love with them. Marriage is tricky though. Could be chemical thing for you. Could be a phase. I love my husband but I am also in love with him. I don't always want to have sex with him though. Take your time and most importantly, how does he feel? Have you talked to him about this?

Sure. You can love your parents, siblings and friends but not be "in love" with them. Being "In love" means you feel passion, attraction and sexual towards the other person. If you feel as though you love your spouse as you would your father, your brother or a casual friend then you're not "in love" with him.

Absolutely you can love someone and not be in love with them. Generally they are called best friends. if you don't yearn for this person or want them sexually, which it seems you don't, then you aren't IN LOVE. Looks like you need to to tell him and probably get divorced.

There are different degrees of love. You love your mom, but not like you do your spouse, and you love your dad, and again not like you do your spouse. You can love someone, and not be in love with them. You can love them just like you would love your brother or a friend. You can really care about them, and not want them to get hurt.

Unfortunately it happens.
Find a way to fall in love with him again, and don't be afraid to be upfront. If you cannot tell the one you love, who can you tell.
he probably is experiencing similar feelings or at least notices yours. Tell him your fears and problems before you end up in divorce court, or one of you is cheating.

When you love someone its like a mom, dad, sibling, friend, or even your boyfriend. When you love someone you don't stop loving them.

When your in love, that's like a boyfriend girlfriend type thing. Thats when you cant stand to be away from them or you do crazy things for them. You can fall in and out of love but you can stop loving some one.
