Do what "Jared" says.. ask questions... talk about music, and than ask what music and concerts.. and talk about movies, funny movies and keep asking questions.. I like when guys ask me questions.. is shows me they want to know more about me!.... ask questions about the previous topics and you also give your opinion. I hope it works.

Here is a tip for your conversation problem. First, ask people things about themselves. People lovvvve to talk about themselves and give opinions (think Yahoo! answers). Second, don't ask questions that can be answered with one word, like yes, no, don't know, etc. Ask what they did over the weekend, ask things that they need to go into depth about. Now if you can just make friends who share the same interests as you, then you will have lots of feedback for them as well, and voila... conversation:) Ps, don't forget, among good friends and relationships there is such a thing as comfortable silence...no need to fill up every minute with chatter. Good luck, hun.

Read the newspapers. Listen to the news. Follow sports. Know what's going on in the world so you have something to talk about. Also, here's a book that has helped thousands of people and it's free at any public library: How to make Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.

I have the same problem... used to at least because I couldn't connect with anybody... so I just started talking about school-- classes, teachers, grades, music groups, etc. Just don't talk about the weather though.

Here's a trick. Just ask questions. Girls love to talk about themselves. They don't have to be good questions either. Then when they answer your question, find another question to ask in regaurds to their response. It's real easy and it gives the impression that you are into their conversation.

Just let go and talk to people. It's not hard to do. Just relax and go for it. Many people are shy and don't talk much. Nobody will notice
