These are warring tribesmen who, having eaten their vanquished neighbours, steal their shirts and wear them. The shirts were originally washed ashore hundreds or thousands of miles away from the wreckage of sunken container-ships and, decades later, turn up in the unexplored interior.
The same goes for flip-flops, gasoline cans, AK-47s, mobile telephones, and National Geographic model release forms.

Simple they traded for them or recieve them some other way, some of these tribes are migratory so at some point they ran into some one with the shirt either that or they weren't really undiscovered. There is some controvery about things like that ppl go to find these tribes that had little contact with what we call Civilization and next they are wearing nike and t- shirts and smoking cigarettes. My cousin was a missionary to a tribe and ppl up there had Satellite dishes and TV. true!

perhaps they found them in the jungle if they were undiscovered before which means they couldn't of have any contacts with any charities, (help is usually done by chucking things like food and clothes from a plane), that's all i can think of, also i wouldn't trust the documentary crew that much perhaps they were discovered a few weeks before that was filmed and to get more rating they said it was just discovered....good question...

There was an interesting documentry on the very subject on 60 Minutes a few years ago. It turns out that all those clothes that people donate at local charities in western countries ends up being sold to Indians at pennies per ton. After they are shiped to various locations in Africa where Indians have set up store houses where they are auctioned off to local retailers who in turn sell them as basically fashionable clothing in small villages.

Here is the CORRECT answer, These garments are seized by HM Customs because they are counterfeit. Instead of being burned they go to charity shops on the express understanding that they be exported to poor nations free of charge. I have heard of tribesmen wearing "Designer gear"

D'you think oxfam used clothes collecting bins have anything to do with it? You'd be moaning if they never wore the dated fashions donated.

They steal them from factories where they work as child labourers. The tribes are not undiscovered they are hidden. Welcome to the real world.
