Carnies aren't really what they once were. Relive the glory days with the ridiculously expensive "Carnivale" on DVD, the skin-crawl of the novel "Geek Love," or the classic "Tod Browning's Freaks," featuring real live carnies. Judging by your picture, though, you know these things. And you're not afraid.

You can do a type of Immersion Therapy by watching Tod Browning's excellent film, "Freaks." Watch it at least eighteen times before the next carnival.
You'll either be completely desensitized to them or you'll have a nervous orgasm every time you see a midget. So you'll either be very bored or very happy whenever the circus comes to town.
I have a recurring nightmare where I'm being chased down by Shriners in those tiny little red convertible cars, and I'm rescued by evil clowns in a canary 1923 Hupmobile but they just keep coming out and coming out and coming out and coming out and I finally wake up and the bed is all wet and sticky.

I 've got the same phobia. Once was at one and sh!t I'm not scared of anything but them carnies it was like they were all staring at me and I thought that they were going to kidnap me and cage me up. Couldn't hang left my Friends and went to the nearest bar to get drunk. Sorry don't know how to get rid of it.

I think by total immersion. You will have to join a carnival or traveling circus. After many months of working there, you will so used to them, you will be over your phobia.
